Henkel and M-Tel Beach Masters are helping the children clinic at Alexandrovska hospital
The Multinational company Henkel, which is a main sponsor of the chain of beach volleyball tournaments M-Tel, starts a charity project in favour of the children clinic at Alexandrovska hospital. The campaign will cover the rest four tournaments and will help the oldest children hospital in Bulgaria, which urgently needs repairs of the building and new medical equipment. Beach Masters
During the tournaments of the M-Tel Beach Masters chain the spectators will have the opportunity to sign on giant beach balls in favour of the charity campaign, which is part of Henkel’s annual “Children project”. For each signature Henkel will donate 1 euro for the children clinic. At the beach volleyball finals in Sofia (05-07 September) associate professor Penka Perenovska, who is in charge of the clinic, will receive a check for the money raised.
The annual “Children project” initiative aof Henkel puts into practice Henkel‘s main corporate values – to make people‘s life easier, better and more beautiful. Each year the project performs social activities for the benefit of children. Thanks to the „Children project“ the following institutions have received financial help so far: Specialized Hospital for Children with Onkohematological Diseases, The orphanage in Razliv village, Specialized Hospital for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, Resource Center in Haskovo (equipment for blind children), Hospital for Active Treatment and Therapy of Children with Cerebral Paralysis, Special High School for Children with Hearing Impediments in Sofia.
This year on the side of the “Children project” Henkel is planning to grant with financial help the Pediatrics Clinic of the University Hospital Alexandrovska in Sofia. It is the oldest children hospital in Bulgaria, built in 1926. From the whole country the children clinic receives for diagnosis and treatment children from 0 to 18 years old, who have respiratory diseases, hematological diseases and need of emergency medical help. This children hospital serves as an educational centre for medical students. Another traditional function of children hospital is the conduct of the annual National Conference of General Practitioners and Pediatricians.
Henkel traditionally sponsors sports events throughout the world. Among them are tournaments from the World Beach Volleyball Championship. In 2008 Henkel in partnership with M-tel supports all five beach volleyball tournaments from the National championship of Bulgaria and combines sport with a noble cause.
