Nikolay Kolev and Neven Neshev qualified in 17th place at the Swatch FIVB World Tour 09 in Hague and won 120 points for the world ranking.
On Thursday the Bulgarian team scored a first-round victory over Hupfer-Schroffenegger from Austria. On the next day the main draw schedule met them with Ricardo-Pedro from Brazil. After 38 minutes game they lost with result 0:2 (15;18).
With 2,800 US$ prize money from The Hague Open Beach Volleyball 2009 Nikolay and Neven came back to Bulgaria to compete at the Bulgarian Championships this week in Sofia.
The host team Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil won the gold medal at the US$380,000 The Hague Open Beach Volleyball 2009 and became the fourth European men’s Beach Volleyball team to win back-to-back titles in the 23-year history of the SWATCH FIVB World Tour. |
